My name is Karolina and I’m the one behind the idea of creating the BreatheMama brand. I love life, travel, motherhood and many other things on this planet. During the first break after my baby was born, I fulfilled one of my dreams. I went on a six-month journey with my husband and son to Southeast Asia. My motherhood, like the motherhood of other mothers, was not and is not always easy. At one point I lost myself. The break I gave myself after years of intense and chaotic life helped me to come back to life with a new quality. For many years I have connected my professional life with non-governmental organizations. I am currently on parental leave, raising two sons, Felek and Romek, and developing the BreatheMama project. When I was pregnant with my second son, I thought a place where I could regenerate and get away from everyday life would be very useful. I didn’t find one, so I created it. I realized my dream of creating a space where women would have time for themselves, take care of their bodies, regenerate their minds, rest and hear what their hearts say, and at the same time spend time with their children. I thought about what I like: about slow-mode travel, mind techniques, yoga, good food and that’s how I organized the first BreatheMama retreat to Thailand. The first edition confirmed my conviction that retreats have transforming power and thanks to the invaluable support of women, our wings are growing. I believe that in order to take care of others, we have to take care of ourselves first, because happiness of the mother is the happiness and health of the whole family.
